The shiny shed is a new artist-led project to start the summer of this year, in an empty shop in Chelmsford's market square. It will be run as a swap shop, and shall be the town's first art centre, and perhaps indeed also the first swap shop- I am not certain of this. If you are interested in working in the shop, visiting, making or donating something, then please do get in touch.

    spleeny forwarded me an email you sent him about this shiny shed idea and me and my boyfriend are arty people and i think i would be interested in exhibiting or what not even if he isnt.

    i think i would paint something large-ish...either a big flower or a mass of strange creatures :)....and as far as working in the shop would it be paid or voluntary...as my boyfriend is looking for work
